Eric Dirth is a Democrat running for Iowa Senate in District 37. Eric has worked at the Iowa Court of Appeals, the Office of the Iowa Attorney General, and a mid-sized law firm. He earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, where he was a contributing editor on Iowa Law Review. He calls Coralville home today.
Previously, Eric was an instructor at James Madison University where he graduated with an M.A. in Communication and Environmental Advocacy. He was JMU's Graduate Student Association President and successfully fought to unite the various graduate programs as one collective body.
In 2013, Eric graduated from Saint Leo University summa cum laude. He ran cross country all four years.
Eric graduated as Valedictorian from Fort Madison High School in 2009. He mowed yards, moved furniture, and lifeguarded in high school to help pay for his college education.
Today, Eric Dirth is active in the Coralville and Iowa City communities where he teaches Catholic education at St. Patrick’s Parish.
